Sustainability & Environmentalism
What are your sustainability efforts as a business?
All orders shipped within the United States are now carbon neutral!
80% of our shipping materials are made from post-consumer waste and recycled materials.
Wherever possible, our paper products are made from 100% recycled materials. We also work with Forest Stewardship Council certified paper manufacturers.
We create products in small batches and work with small companies and several Certified B Corporations to maintain a careful balance.
Though we manufacture products, we are very thoughtful about what we create and only produce items in very limited runs, which is why they sell out quickly :)
What are Gianna's sustainability efforts in her artwork?
I have been very passionate about environmentalism from a young age, fueled by my love of nature and the outdoors. I was so inspired by the climate movement that I received a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from Montana State University.
As an artist, I have infused what I learned about sustainability into my artwork and business practices. 60% of the paintings I've created have been on reclaimed wood, whether that be old plywood that has been cured by the salty sea and washed ashore, or live-edge wood that I've collected from the seconds pile at local saw mills.
Through my artwork, I hope to not only instill the beauty of nature, but also immerse the viewer amongst the deep feelings of connectedness that nature brings. May my art serve as a reminder to all that's worth protecting on this earth.
