Bio
Hey, I'm Gianna! Born and raised on a tiny island in the Pacific Northwest, my art is influenced by a lifetime of exploring nature surrounding me- the forest, mountains, and ocean side.
Though the outdoors have been an important aspect of my life since I can remember, it wasn’t until later that art entered my life. I followed my passion of outdoor sports to attend college in Bozeman, Montana, where on a whim I enrolled in an art class. My fascination with art grew- enough to stay in the art studio all night, struggling to master one little piece of a painting.
However, my love story with art did not fully develop until I had a terrible mountain biking wreck, resulting in a broken back, broken teeth, and abrasions covering my body. Suddenly I found myself stripped of the freedom that I was accustomed to experiencing in my outdoor adventures. Confined to a hard plastic back brace for months, I spent my recovery at the easel, finding solace and freedom in painting my favorite outdoor scenery instead of exploring it.
Now, five years later, I haven't stopped painting. Art has blossomed into not only my greatest passion but also a successful career. By sharing my art and story with the world, I hope to inspire others to become the best version of themselves and realize their dreams, even during the darkest of times, when these things seem most out of reach.
